**Scope boundary:** MEMORY.md is for knowledge about [User Name]'s preferences, operating patterns, and organizational observations NOT tied to a specific project or person. Project-specific knowledge goes in context captures. Person-specific knowledge goes in person files.

**Size limit:** Keep under 300 lines. When past 300, archive older entries to `memory-archive/YYYY-MM.md`.
